Indigo seed

$4.00

Interested in giving botanical dyes a try? One seed packet is enough to get you started. Each of the varieties I have for sale are easy to grow and easy for learning seed-saving.

Japanese indigo is the classic, magical blue dye plant! Our growing season in Vermont is *just* long enough for our indigo to produce seed (Indigo works great as a container plant if you live in a cold region and want to try to get seed. cut stems also root easily in water if you wish to propagate it). These seeds are descended from some my friend Hannah has been growing in Vermont for many years.
