Linore flax seed

$4.00
Sold Out

Linore flax seed for sale. This is a dual-purpose variety, developed in Oregon for both oil seed and textile production. Our results with this variety have been mixed as far as fiber production goes, but some growers have had success with it. Possibly of interest if your focus is seed production, as Linore often grows in a shorter, more branching habit, with fine stems.

Direct sow in early spring or during your cool season. Hand broadcast or plant in tight rows. Traditional seeding rate for fiber production is 100 pounds per acre. a 4 ounce package will seed approximately a 10’ x 10’ area (100 s.f.).

25% of the proceeds of flax seed sales go to support the work of the Northern New England Fibershed.
